Blog Do-Over

Well, here we go again... a year and some-odd months later and this is the first time I've updated. We're going to try this again.

What's new: I am pregnant, 22 weeks 3 days today. We are having a bouncing baby boy, due June 20th, although my midwives keep telling me "think of it as the end of June sometime" so I don't get anxious if I go past my due date. We are naming him Asher Benjamin. We have had this name picked out for over 2 years, and we 'heart' it. We are building an apartment in the Johnson's garage so we can fit the baby. Ben is expecting it to be finished by mid-March. I will be doing the happy dance! After not having a real kitchen in a year and a half, I am sooo excited to have a stove!

So what else... I am no longer working 'outside the home'. I am beginning my lifelong career as a homemaker. It is a work in progress. Ben's business is growing, he has multiple jobs lined up for the spring.

There's our basic update in the last year or so. My goal is to post more often and do my best to keep our family and friends updated about our lives, especially as we look forward to welcoming our son :)

  1. One of my favorite comments in this post is how you view motherhood. "my lifelong career as a homemaker." I "heart" this comment. There have been so many times where in private I am so confident as Stay At Home Mom and wife, and then when I sink to compare myself to others I lose that confidence. I 100% (and more!) love that you are already viewing motherhood (and wife) as a lifelong career. It's exactly what it is. You'll work harder in the home than you ever would out of it! :) Excited to follow your blog!
